about me
Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio! Before you search on, I would love to tell you a little bit about myself.
I recently graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising Management and Apparel Design. Through the completion of my degree, I have been able to develop versatile skill sets in many different facets of the apparel industry.
My skills include developing a brand image, and line design from concept to consumer, concept-ualizing creative concepts for trend boards and line sheets, and participating in design presen-tations.
I have also developed valuable apparel design skills in both technical design and construction of garments; knowledge of flat pattern/draping, pattern grading, compiling specifications
packages, rendering technical flats, and sketching fashion illustrations.
My passion lies in Computer Aided Design. I am confident using Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well at Optitex PDS.
I have been able to apply my knowledge in hands on experience, including designing, patterning, and constructing garments for the Annual Red Dress Fashion Show, and OSU Spring Fashion Show. Garments, styling, and full line presentations was created for the designs.
I currently am working in the retail industry as the BP Assistant Manager at Nordstrom, Washington Square. Working in the retail industry has strengthened my merchandising skills as well as given me insight on consumer needs. I am ultimately looking to start my career in the merchandise product development field.
